When Brandon shared with me his idea about the surprise proposal he was planning for Audrey, I was immediately excited for this photoshoot. Their travel itinerary in France included a daytrip to Normandy and, more specifically, the iconic cliffs at Etretat. Brandon was looking for the perfect location for an intimate proposal by the sea.

Leading up to the big day, we planned every detail together. I proposed a few locations with different vantage points so that Brandon could select the view that best resembles what he had in mind. I helped him choose the best time and ensure flattering light conditions.

On the day of the proposal, I arrived on site ahead of time to scout the location again and prepare. Brandon and I maintained contact and I sent him a few last minute tips. I stayed discrete and shot from afar so that my presence wouldn’t spoil the surprise. Once Audry said YES, I approached the happy couple and we continued with a beautiful engagement photoshoot by the beach.
