Surprise Proposal in a secret garden in Paris

Calm and quiet

The challenge with any surprise proposal in Paris is to find a spot that is beautiful and memorable, while also being sufficiently intimate. Justin’s priority was clear: he wanted a quiet spot with no onlookers where he could propose to Saman, the love of his life.

I offered him a few different options but as soon as he saw the photo of this spot, his heart was set on it. Conveniently located next to their dinner reservation, this place was tucked away in a quiet corner of a famous garden, where you can rarely cross paths with another soul. An unassuming door in the fence takes you down a winding path through greenery, a tiny pond, and a charming little bridge. An then there was me, hiding in plain sight with my camera ready.

Justin played some French music on his phone and gently led Saman into a dance. When the moment felt just right, he dropped to one knee and asked her to be his forever. Her reaction was so spontaneous and authentic, that my heart melted. Tears, hugs, and kisses, sweet words and soft glances: all those precious reactions that a photographer strives to catch and preserve forever!

Finally, we went to the banks of the Seine river so that we could end the proposal photoshoot with the classic views of the Eiffel Tower. We arrived there right before sunset when the sky was bathed in soft blue and purple light and the Eiffel Tower was slowly beginning to switch on its lights.
